In mid-June, one of our couples, Lena and Simon, had a beautiful, simple ceremony in a stunning setting on the wild and beautiful north coast of the island. From a secluded small hotel where the couple were staying, a short walk brought the 45 guests down a woodland path, aromatic with wild rosemary, to a clearing, shaded with stately pines, with dramatic views of the coast and the intensely clear azure sea.
The ceremony had been planned with lots of support from the friends of the couple who had set up a simple wedding arch, bunting, chairs and flowers with an aisle of fresh rose petals. As the groom waited with our celebrant, Jonas, a guitarist played the processional song and the bride, wearing a crown of fresh flowers, walked with her bridesmaid and flower girl down the mountain path to arrive at the magical spot amid the pines. The couple had worked with Jonas to incorporate lots of their own ideas in the ceremony, including their own vows and it was a magical occasion for the couple and their guests.
Afterwards, the couple happily led the guests back up the mountain path to the hotel where they enjoyed chilled cava and canapes on the terrace overlooking the sea.
